Safi Alkozai

Safi Alkozai is an Account Director at Ferguson Brown Insurance Brokers, advising construction, property and development clients on the design and placement of their insurance programs.

Safi has spent more than 16 years in Australian general insurance. He began underwriting with QBE in 2010, moved through Lumley and CGU — where he led an underwriting sales and service team — and spent close to six years at Zurich as  Underwriting Manager. In 2023 he moved to the broking side with Coverforce, going on to lead a broking team before joining Ferguson Brown.

That 13-year underwriting career shapes how Safi works. He understands how insurers assess, price and reserve for risk, and puts submissions to market in a form underwriters will back. His work spans contract works, public and products liability, Property, professional indemnity, plant and equipment, motor, management liability and latent defects insurance, alongside contract and indemnity clause reviews for clients taking on new projects.
